The LIC Clubhouse, built in 1939 as a school gymnasium, was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. The main room is a large oak floored ballroom used frequently by the community for dances and special events and available for private groups and parties. A stage with special lighting in the ballroom is available for theater, concerts and dance events. The facilities include a meeting room with an excellent kitchen for banquet and refreshment service, and modern rest rooms. The building is available for rental to the public for events such as weddings and parties and for community group activities. Beside the Clubhouse is a large, grassy field available for outdoor events and parking. LIC Board and General Membership Meetings are held in the meeting room. Board Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. General Membership Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Call Building Manager, 253-884-6022 for answers to questions about club rentals.
